The United States-based alternative rock band is best known for combining funk and punk rock, creating a string of albums now sold worldwide. Originally, the rock band was formed by Anthony Kiedis, Flea, Hillel Slovak and Jack Irons; later members included Josh Klinghoffer, John Frusciante, Chad Smith and producer Rick Rubin.
